Wacanadoo Blog

Wacanadoo is a simple offline free time management tool! Think of any situation when you were sitting at home and you didn´t know what do do at all. You just couldn´t remember any cool activity to fill your precious free time with. Let me tell you: there´s always something to do – you just have to remember it! Wacanadoo is a simple way to arrange your free time from now on!

Wacanadoo works in 3 simple steps:

1. Check the weather.

2. Think of your favourite activities.

3. Note them down.

Next time you are bored, you simply check your list on Wacanadoo!

Detailed description:

Is it sunny or rainy? Do you want to spend your time outside or anywhere inside? You have made your choice? Perfect. Now think of any activity that comes to your mind and note it down. You can easily add new activity boxes by tapping on the “Add” Button and delete them by tapping on the “Sub” Button.

On the left of each activity box you´ll find the frequency button. If you want to remember HOW OFTEN you have chosen an activity, just tap the button and it will add “1″ to the selected activity.

From now on you will always remember ANY of your favourite activities. You are gonna extend your activity list from time to time and you´ll check how often you have done these activities with one simple tap!

Special feature:

You immediately want to do something? No problem! Just pull the “I´M SO BORED – RIPCORD” and enjoy the LITE version of our upcoming game: “On Fire!”. Play the first stage as long as you like!

Of course you can also use your WACANADOO as a simple Todo list. Use the frequency buttons to set the importance of the activity from 1 (“ahm… I will never have to do this… I mean, honestly…”) to 9 (“oh boy, oh boy… I´m so gonna do this now!”).

1.21 Gigawatts

1.21 gigawatts? 1.21 gigawatts? Great Scott! What the hell is a gigawatt you may be asking yourself? Well Marty, a gigawatt is 1 billion watts. It’s also an independently built Kinect game that was built using Unity3D. It seems as though the premise is relatively straight forward. Bring your arms together in front of you by touching your hands together and shoot – what I can only assume based on the title – a crazy amount of energy at some blocks. Blow up some blocks, pat yourself on the back, move on.

About the possibilities of Kinect

Kinect has become a device, that is interesting for games, but even more interesting for all kind of non-game Uses. Just think of a tool, that steers a Factory Robot or a Mech suit as seen in the Movie “Aliens” from 1986. YOU would directly move each arm or foot of the Machine. YOU would interact with heavy obstacles without even beeing close to those objects.
Or think of software for Physiotherapy. Together with open source software like Open NI injured people could learn simple movements again. All this could be packed inside a game, which could make painful therapies more bearable for kids or youths.

Pitiri 1977

Pitiri combines a complex and grim story, with beautiful graphics, a physic engine and fantastic characters.

The genre can be described as a mixture of Jump n Run game with a physic engine and Adventure & Rpg elements.

The main focus, of course, is on game fun. But also the story is a very important part. It should “teleport” the player into a Utopia of 1977, with 1977 music, 1977 style and 1977 characters!

Aratatatt

“Aratatatt” is a simple Endtime Platform Shooter – Damn right, the End is near these days – I´ve been using FREE SPRITES only – and some character sprites I still had from my other game project called “Pitiri 1977″. The game will have 3 World with 4 Levels each.

The Soundtrack is something Special. I tried to re-create  classic 80s Songs to add a little contrast to the game itself.

Ilikescifi is currently porting Aratatatt for Iphone & Ipad!

Ace of Mace

Commissioned by spice company Wiberg, this classic game of dexterity may literally be too hot to handle. Manipulate the hand to flip the piece of mace into the empty glass, skilfully judging angles and velocities. Advancing through five stages of ever increasing difficulty, the player surmounts obstacles of chilli peppers fruit and kitchen utensils, while the music drives an atmosphere of relaxed endeavour. Brilliant high definition images, a responsive physics engine, and a highly intuitive interface create an outstanding gaming experience. Ace of mace – hot stuff indeed!
